With 2018 upon us, the CSCE Toronto Section is proud to present the following events: CSCE Industry Night: February 15, 2018 - 6:00 PM Held at Ryerson University, attendees will get the chance to network with industry professionals and listen to presentations about projects they have been involved in from different streams of civil engineering. Food and drinks will be provided.
SPEAKERS (left to right): Mark Bruder, George Crouch, Conor Foy, and Omar Zuberi Mark Bruder, P.Eng. Working at R.V. Anderson with over 10 years of experience in project management, complex structural analysis/design, and 3D Modeling, Mark has worked on a wide range of projects including the design and drafting of foundations for the giga roller coaster “Leviathan” at Canada’s Wonderland. He will be speaking about his involvement in the Peterborough WTP Reservoir: Emergency and Long-Term Rehabilitation. This work included short-term emergency repairs on a leak that occurred in October 2014 along with long-term rehabilitation work to extend the serviceability life of the structure. George Crouch, P. Eng. and Conor Foy Conor holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin. He has been with Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. since 2011 and has worked on a variety of residential, commercial and heavy civil projects including the Strachan Avenue Grade Separation and the Eglinton Crosstown Phase 2 Tunnelling. Together, George and Conor will share the challenges of large residential and infrastructure projects in dense urban contexts while minimizing impact to external stakeholders. They will discuss techniques, technologies and case studies from several projects, with a focus on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Omar Zuberi Manager of the Virtual Design Construction group at EllisDon Corporation, Omar brings 10 years of construction industry experience involving large scale retail, high rise residential, hospital, and subway projects.
